As a Pure Waters Technician at Monroe County, I review and improve plans for water systems, create permits for plumbers, and mark utilities prior to construction. I have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Wells College, where I learned about the natural and social aspects of water resources and management. I have strong skills in smart devices, communication, and computer literacy, which I use to cross-train with Dispatch and assist in repairs on utilities.In my current role, I work with developers, plumbers, and other technicians to ensure the quality and safety of the water systems in the county. I also collaborate with Dispatch to answer phone calls, make work orders, and investigate properties. I am motivated by the goal of providing clean and sustainable water for the community and the environment. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have also worked as a Bakery Associate at Tops Markets and a Substitute Teacher at Barker Central School, where I developed customer service, problem-solving, and teaching skills.
