While serving as a clinician specializing in helping clients who are planning to return to school or have recently resumed their education, Evan was promoted to lead three different departments. The first leadership role oversaw Caron Renaissance’s collegiate recovery department. In this role, Evan was responsible for training new staff members, providing direct services to clients and students, and supporting the expansion of the model through networking, business development, and creative revision. In this role, Evan also provided clinical supervision using his experience as an LCSW to support and assist a team of therapists to better support their clients.The second department Evan manages is CR’s career services. In this role, Evan oversees and manages vocational therapy, the job search process, resume building, and supporting clients through this often challenging transition from treatment to the workplace. The third department Evan manages is Caron’s intensive outpatient program. The main duty is providing clinical supervision to a team of IOP therapists that working with clients who have successfully completed day/night residential treatment and are now working, living off property, and attempting to sustain their recovery using the skills they learned in treatment.While managing these departments, Evan continues to work as a clinician by meeting with members of Caron Renaissance's professional's track program to offer guidance, support, and future planning. This involves confidence building, challenging maladaptive pathologies, and attempting to offer strength and insight which has often been lost.Evan also continues to maintain a private practice, where he provides psychotherapy to his clients and offers different interventions based on individual need. Evan also co-facilitates a therapy group with another licensed clinician for clients that have completed the main program but continue to seek support through group therapy.
