I enjoy finding creative, innovative solutions to all sorts of problems. In the past I've work in power control and maintenance, PCB design, motor control, process control, and a just about everything in between. I am a quick learner that is always looking for a new challenge. In addition to my work as an electrical engineer I enjoy various projects and hobbies, such as photography, volunteering, painting, camping, working on the house, and working on cars. Every year I volunteer to work on a sophisticated electronic "badge" project for a sub-conference of the computer security conference DefCon, which we then hand out for free at the conference. It is a very challenging, but very rewarding, experience.I was born in Olympia, Washington, but have lived all over the US. Though I am not originally from Tulsa, I am proud to have called Tulsa home since moving here in 2003. I graduated from The University of Tulsa in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to get my Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, also from The University of Tulsa.

Electrical Product Engineer ¤ Low Cost, High Performance Iot Edge HardwareGardner Denver Pumps Jan 2017 - Aug 2019Houston , Texas, UsAt Gardner Denver my role as the sole electrical product engineer was to develop a low cost computing platform capable of scaling to support the needs of multiple product lines and environments. The system developed, the "Flexible Platform", was more capable than the previous at about one-tenth the cost. The Flexible Platform is based on off-the-shelf industrial computing hardware and custom designed support circuit boards, leading to a scalable, low cost, low risk, low lead time IOT system. Software was all written in Python and all configuration files can be hand edited using a normal text or JSON editor. The Flexible Platform also ran a RESTful API using FLASK to transmit JSON data to external services, though J1939, RS232/485 and modbus were also availbale. -
Electrical Engineer ¤ Reliability And Sustainability Product ImprovementsMcelroy Manufacturing, Inc. Apr 2015 - Dec 2016Tulsa, Ok, UsAt McElroy Manufacturing my position included the design of new fusion machines in addition sustaining and supporting McElroy extensive collection of existing pipe fusion machines. This presented many unique challenges developing and supporting electronic systems that control hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems. This included existing motherboard improvements using Altium Designer, C and C++, and Microchip's PIC IDE. -
