The Pace Energy and Climate Center is a research and advocacy center which provides analysis for a range of institutions in the private and public sector on environmental policy with the goal of breaking down barriers to policies and technologies that increase market efficiency and support a cleaner environment and climate.

Juice Energy was a small, retail electricity supply start-up that focused on reducing clients’ exposure to the price volatility of energy markets. Recognizing the core relationship between energy use and sustainability, Juice’s green services included green power purchases, greenhouse gas inventories, and policy and marketing support. » Provided sales and policy support in form of research, trainings, and webinars to staff and clients.» Areas covered: State RPS policy, environmental disclosure laws, cap and trade policy, GHG management, voluntary EPA programs, and REC policy.

The Fund is a national non-profit specializing in campaign and fundraising support for the State Public Interest Research Groups (PIRG) and their partners the State Environment Groups. The Telephone Project is responsible for raising 2/3s of the funds used for advocacy and maintaining a membership base of close to 1,000,000 from year to year. ∞ Project Director: Promoted to lead director in the Boston Telephone Project in 2006. Additional responsibilities included:» Led six week intensive training for incoming lead and assistant telephone directors for the other two offices.» Expanded capacity to handle fundraising and outreach for an additional eleven non-profit organizations.» Attended Senior Staff and Political/Legislative meetings for our home state client the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MASSPIRG), providing insight into the fundraising aspects and citizen outreach for MASSPIRG’s political campaigns. Accomplishments as Lead Director:» Set Boston office’s single year fundraising record, outpacing FY02 by 8% and FY06 by 25%. » Increased office fundraising performance in critical categories including average gift size (+0.9%) and gross/member (+4.4%).» Improved rate of caller/staff retention over any of the previous three years by 50%, hiring 68 new staff and sustaining over 20 shifts per day for the year.∞ Assistant Director: Boston Telephone Outreach Project» Assistant director for one of three telephone fundraising offices on behalf of the State Public Interest Research Groups (PIRG) and State Environment Groups.» Responsible for hiring, training and maintaining a staff size ranging from 15 to 60 telephone fundraisers.» Drafting the public message of the various campaigns run from the Boston office.» Overseeing the administrative budget totaling nearly $100k.∞ Field Manager New Haven Office, summer of 2004» Oversaw team of canvassers executing a grassroots campaign to clean up mercury pollution.
