I love to make people's lives easier at work, so they can enjoy a fulfilling career, repeating less of the tedious tasks that can make going to work a drag. As a trained chemist, I know that data is insight into a process, and logical decisions are always made based on data analysis. My philosophy on process improvement is to collect as much data as possible about a process, then make decisions and create solutions that will make a statistical difference, while at the same time opening up more opportunities for data analysis, tracking more statistics, and using that to continuously improve. My current focus lies mostly on integrating many enterprise software components, allowing for seamless transfer of data via custom programs that I write. For these tasks, the first tools I turn to usually include Python, C# and VB .NET, Excel and Excel VBA, PowerBI, PowerShell, and SharePoint.

Instrument Services SpecialistPace Analytical Feb 2020 - Aug 2021Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States- Reviewed system documentation, such as technical drawings, data sheets, manuals, and submittals to create IQ, OQ, and PQ (Qualification) protocols for customers. Went on customer site to execute these protocols, inspecting the system to validate that it was built according to specifications, and that it functions and performs as it was designed.- Worked with many large medical device, pharmaceutical, and tech companies to qualify their facilities and critical equipment, allowing them to validate their FDA regulated manufacturing processes and providing crucial cGMP documentation support.- Lead teams on projects ranging in size from $2,000 to $200,000 and location from local to several projects in Latin America- Took on the role of project manager on-site and in the office, coordinated with customers to make sure they were informed of the type and scope of our work, scheduled jobs, communicated progress, resolved issues, delegated work to technicians- Was promoted to Process Improvement Specialist after using free time at work to begin developing an automated system to ease the more trivial aspects of my job -
Graduate Research AssistantStony Brook University Jun 2018 - Jun 2019Greater New York City AreaMy main research project consisted of analyzing the activities of two radionuclides of the naturally occuring U-238 decay chain in the ocean, Pb-210 and Po-210. I use chemical separation techniques to isolate the radionuclides and then determine their activities using radioactive decay counters. These two isotopes are important tracers of scavenging rates of metals in the ocean and can be used as a proxy to determine the export of particulate organic carbon from the ocean to the sediment. This work has vital significance in increasing our knowledge of the role of the ocean in sequestering carbon from the atmosphere, and reducing the greenhouse effect. During my time at Stony Brook, I completed a Master's Thesis and submitted a paper to the academic journal: Deep Sea Research. -
Graduate Teaching AssistantStony Brook University Aug 2017 - Jun 2018Stony Brook, Ny• Taught two sections of CHE133: “General Chemistry Laboratory I”- Instructed students on general lab techniques, answered chemistry questions, supervised lab safety, gave help sessions once per week, graded lab reports and quizzes, and proctored tests.• Teaching Assistant for MAR320: “Limnology”- Prepared and supervised labs, which were often field trips to different freshwater sites on Long Island, proctored and graded tests and quizzes -
Research AssistantUniversity Of Delaware Jan 2016 - May 2017Newark, DeUndergraduate research assistant in the inorganic chemistry laboratory of Professor Klaus Theopold. Synthesized complex organic ligands and chelated them to transition metals. Practiced inorganic synthesis techniques with delicate reagents that could not be exposed to air or moisture. Analyzed products with NMR, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. Created and presented a poster: "Synthesis and Characterization of First Row Transition Metal-Tp Complexes." The goal of this research project was to create a more efficient catalyst for the Haber-Bosch process, the artificial nitrogen fixation process for the production of ammonia (mostly for fertilizer). Right now, this process is horribly inefficient and consumes 1-2% of the world's total energy output, so a more efficient catalyst would make a huge environmental and economic impact. -
