I provided many meals while in the Main Kitchen, and prepped the fruits for the Big Island Breakfast Buffet. Me and the few others that were also in the program created an “unforgettable experience” for our fellow employees while we worked, and during our graduation. So during this experience, I learned basic knife skills, food safety, sanitation, and behavior in a hospitality environment.

Me and my team created a StoryMap outlining the story of an Ahupua’a in Maui, and provided more historical context towards Hawaiian Culture. After this project, it’ll slowly be worked on by multiple organizations to ensure that our history is preserved.
