I stepped in with over 50 job requisitions to fill spanning several different disciplines. As the sole recruiter I was able to leverage my customer service and relationship building skills to recruit high performing candidates with a low turnover rate. I also learned to ask for help and delegate tasks or problems to team members with stronger traditional HR skills. Through that process I learned much more about HR as a whole (compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, organizational development, to name a few). This position taught me how to navigate a corporate environment, and have that polish needed when working with high level Executives.
