Customer service oriented position in a AAA 4 Diamond restaurant. Responsibilities include creating several menus, conducting inventory and maintaining a high level of food, wine and alcohol knowledge. Responsible for helping to plan and carry out events ranging from 15 to 80 people.

Primary responsibilities involved the research, development and implementation of the website: "Shaping the Constitution: Resources from the Library of Virginia and the Library of Congress". Duties also included the researching, writing, and editing of Primary Source Document Lesson Plans to be uploaded to an educational web site for use by primary, middle, and high school teachers.Involved with professional development, helping teachers to implement primary source basedlearning into the classroom, as well as in charge of developing some program content for the upcoming Learning Lab at the Library of Virginia.

As a supervisor, required to manage entire restaurant staff several nights a week. Also responsible for creating the schedule, nightly, weekly, and monthly inventory and helping to maintain beverage cost. Successfully ran busy karaoke night (200+ customers) weekly for over two years. Broad knowledge of beer, wine and mixed drinks developed as a bartender. Responsible for helping to plan and carry out events ranging from 10 to 175 people.

The position required the ability to communicate with classrooms full of students, to both follow a previously provided teaching plan and the creation of teaching plans and assignments. Working knowledge of a variety of general education subjects was necessary.
