It was 1979 when I first was able to play with a computer. It was an Apple 2 Europlus. I was one of the few who not only had a want to use and play with these new things, but I found I had an aptitude for them as well.After school I worked in Sales and Support for Dick Smith Electronics where I gained my first major industry experiences. Later I managed support departments for a Logitech and then a Sound Blaster distributor. Here I gained many skills in supporting and solving problems with mainline brands with real world problemsI then spent several years managing Sales and Support for a company called Hypec Electronics in Sydney which won several government supply contracts and had customers such as ANSTO, CSIRO and the NSW Departments of Education and Agriculture. With the requirements of these sort of customers I learnt the importance of on time results with professional outcomes, as well as the need for some tasks to be completed outside the 9 to 5 Monday to Friday windows.As with seemingly everything now days its so hard to find time to "Google" how to do something to improve your systems yourself. So after running your business and your home life you end up being time poor. This leads to you not fixing that problem or upgrading that software, which in itself might make you life easier, but hey your time poor, remember?
