Main Propulsion System And Engines EngineerJacobsTitusville, Fl, Us -
Main Propulsion System & Engines EngineerJacobs Apr 2019 - Present• Artemis 1 launch team. Responsible for monitoring RS-25 and RL-10 engines during launch countdown to ensure purges are properly maintained, engines are thermally conditioned, and all measurements indicate within required limits for launch. Proficient in RS-25 and RL-10 Launch Commit Criteria and troubleshooting.• Responsible for hands-on processing operations to ensure RS-25, RL-10, and Main Propulsion System (MPS) components are ready for launch. Regularly lead teams of system engineers, technicians, quality assurance engineers, and Original Equipment Manufacturer representatives to safely and efficiently accomplish launch vehicle processing tasks.• Commanded Main Propulsion System and Engines components from Launch Control Center Firing Room 1. Responsible for both vehicle and ground systems remote testing as part of Vehicle Assembly Building processing, launch pad checkouts, and final preparations for launch.• Developed testing procedures to characterize gas mixing inside Space Launch System Core Stage Intertank, Forward Skirt, and Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter volumes. Data will provide more insight into how hazardous gas leaks might affect launch countdown operations.• Adapted Aerojet Rocketdyne RS-25 Engine Drying procedure to Vehicle Assembly Building and Mobile Launcher ground systems. • Responsible for maintaining MPS and Engines ground support equipment to ensure high pressure pneumatic panels can support testing and launch countdown needs. Proficient in testing and troubleshooting to quickly diagnose problems as they arise and safely replace components.

Test Project EngineerJacobs Jun 2017 - Apr 2019Support subsystem testing from Firing Room 1. Ensure testing is running according to the procedure, coordinate troubleshooting, and work issues that may impact subsystem testing. Worked with Launch Accessories engineers to develop Launch Commit Criteria for each umbilical on the Mobile Launcher. Coordinated and lead meetings with representatives from the Launch Accessories team, EGS, Orion, and SLS in order to write and revise LCCs. Worked with Kennedy Ground Control System engineers to develop Launch Commit Criteria to ensure the protection of command paths during terminal count. This required integration with engineers across various groups as well as developing a robust tool to ensure the ease of updating LCCs if and when any changes to subsystem commands were made. Provide integration support to different integrated test events such as ML/Pad Fire Suppression testing, ML/Pad IOP/SS testing, and Umbilical Retract testing. Support Launch Team Training by developing problem scenarios to use in future Sim Training events. Review operations requirements, as well as track these reviews for the whole Test Project Engineer office. Responsible for the execution of several different Front Room Validation procedures that verify the functionality of different aspects of Firing Room 1 consoles whenever there is a software update.

Engineering And Test Directorate InternNasa - Stennis Space Center May 2015 - Aug 2015• Worked on a feasibility study to determine the requirements for the design of a system to filter exhaust from a nuclear thermal powered rocket engine.• Took initiative to develop an Excel-based fluid thermal model to perform a trade analysis on insulated vs. non-insulated pipes carrying cryogenic oxygen from storage to run tanks.
