As a physical therapist for Fox Rehabilitation, I coordinate comprehensive physical therapy for geriatric patients. My responsibilities include conducting thorough in-home evaluations, constructing goal-oriented plans for care with my patients, and planning for successful continuation of beneficial health behaviors following cessation of physical therapy care. I provide extensive education to patients and their families in my treatments, to allow for increased collaboration and visibility in treatment.

I engaged as a driven student physical therapist who participated in opportunities to develop my skills in key areas pertaining to my future area of practice. I was a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists student special interest group, participating in monthly literature reviews and case studies with my peers. As a member of the physical therapy program, I volunteered at the CARES pro bono clinic, serving patients with orthopedic and neuromuscular diagnoses. I worked within the Center of Academic Excellence as a tutor in anatomy and physiology, which allowed me to lead my peers, as well as develop skills in information delivery and creativity in the presentation of course content. In my curriculum, I spent in-depth time studying effective implementation of physical therapy principles in patients with orthopedic, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, and integumentary conditions.

I served as an academic tutor through the MUSC Center for Academic Excellence. During my time as a tutor, I instructed physical therapy and occupational therapy students in the topic of gross human anatomy and physiology. I coordinated in-person and virtual meetings, and generated weekly educational content that aligned appropriately with the course curriculum and objectives.

I was employed as an engaged and collaborative member of the instructional staff of the Wando High School Marching Band. I communicated with fellow staff members and band directors to create and implement strategies for efficient rehearsals. I worked with movement and dance specialists, music specialists, and volunteer staff to ensure optimal safety and learning for students.

The mission of Marching Health is to prevent injury in marching arts performers by providing them with training programs and resources to prepare them physically and mentally for performance. As a Marching Health clinician, I collaborate with ensembles during their pre-season and competitive season to implement exercise plans and educational content that will address the specific demands that performers face in this setting. I also have an active role in generation of content for social media pages with 100K+ weekly interactions. My role as a Marching Health clinician allows me to develop my skills in exercise programming and health education with marching arts organizations at the high school, college, and professional level. Examples of clients that I have worked with in the past are the Wando High School Marching Band, Clemson University, Tulane University, and Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps.

In this role I was the primary research assistant in a study that worked with a local after-school running program for elementary school children. The study examined a possible correlation between participation in the program and increased physical and mental well-being of the participants.

The New Soul study examines the effect of the implementation of plant-based diets on heart disease in African Americans. As part of my senior thesis for the South Carolina Honors College, I examined the effect of the diet on osteoarthritis symptoms in the study participants.

I spent 300 hours as an intern at Prisma Health Physical Rehabilitation Services at the Richland County hospital campus. I worked with physical therapists in the heart hospital, children's hospital, intensive care unit, trauma unit, geriatric unit, neurology unit, and orthopedic rehabilitation unit.

As an aide at Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine I was responsible for supervising patient completion of rehabilitation exercises and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the clinic.

As a marching band technician at White Knoll High School, I instructed students in brass instrument pedagogy, marching technique, and dance technique. In 2019, White Knoll High School finished in 2nd place at the 4A State Marching Band Championship.

In this role I monitored patron safety in the weight room and maintained the cleanliness of the weight floor by using a rotating cleaning schedule
