Naval Architect I
CurrentEvan currently serves as a Naval Architect I at DLBA where he is responsible for performing naval architecture tasks such as weight estimation, structural design, performance prediction, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, and stability assessments for new and existing designs. When needed, Evan can be involved in hands-on tasking such as model testing, deadweight surveys, incline experiments, and buoy testing. At DLBA, Evan has had exposure to recreational and military projects ranging from high-speed composite craft to steel displacement vessels. In 2024, Evan has spent the most time working on the Liberty Lifter seaplane project, with multiple tasks such as a Launch-Haul Out study, Tow-Tank results analysis, CFD analysis, and weather buoy preparation and deployment. Evan has also completed a preliminary weight estimate for a 34' recreational center console powerboat and has limited experience with carpet plots.
