• Responsible for managing the design and user experience of HondaLink and AcuraLink, which are the primary mobile applications for the Honda and Acura brands.• Led a comprehensive redesign of the AcuraLink and HondaLink mobile applications that resulted in improving the App Store rating from around 1.8/5 stars to around 3.5/5 stars.• A core function of my role is to bridge the gap between business goals and our customers' needs and expectations. This responsibility involves not only overseeing the creation of user-friendly designs, but also ensuring that internal stakeholders feel that our goals are being effectively met by the design of our products.• Led the design effort to launch our partnership with Amazon to offer in-car package delivery to Honda and Acura vehicles.• Led the implementation of a new standardized design documentation structure to help improve the consistency and accuracy of implementation outcomes.• Responsible for planning, assigning, and reviewing the work for a team of 3 UX Designers.• Responsible for coordinating with off-shore UI designers and software developers to ensure design and business requirements are clearly communicated and effectively implemented.

• Responsible for rapid interactive prototyping of software interfaces. Used Framer, CoffeeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to quickly create high-fidelity interactive prototype interfaces for use in end-user testing.• Responsible for UI and UX design on a research project aimed at improving the vehicle entry experience. 
This project involved working between the user-research and engineering groups to translate user needs into
 tangible product specs. My work included: need finding, root-cause analysis, mapping user journeys,
 leading ideation sessions, wireframing, and building interactive prototypes.• Improved the cross-platform UI asset workflow to enable efficient and high-quality UI asset creation for production Honda iOS and Android apps.• Created new production UI assets for production iOS and Android apps.• Led a design research project to explore a fundamentally new UI structure for
 infotainment systems in order to address long-standing usability issues in automotive interfaces. The project leveraged scholarly
 research on low-level visual feature detectors in human perception to help make the UI layout more visually
 understandable. My work involved: gathering and integrating scholarly research, wireframing, and interactive
 prototyping.

• Founded a mobile app development business in order to create Sun Risk, a health app for iOS and Apple Watch which uses dynamic color and typography to intuitively inform users of their risk of unhealthy sun exposure throughout the day. • Sun Risk reached the Top 15 in the paid weather category on the App Store, and was featured by Apple on the front page and in multiple collections of the App Store.• Conceived, designed, built, and marketed the iOS and Apple Watch app.• Implemented entire app including: UI, networking, and model using Swift and Xcode. • Sun Risk consumes a RESTful JSON API provided by the United States Environmental Protection agency to provide UV index forecasts for any city within the U.S.• Designed, and implemented the Sun Risk marking website, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.• See more at: sunriskapp.com
