Hello, my name is Evan Tansimore. I have strive to uplift others through my keen empathy and energy. I am also not afraid to ask the hard questions or to get burned by the indisputable answers. Having experienced tragedy and grief at a young age, I understand that I am able to work hard to get through difficult times. But I know that no man is an island, so I welcome support when I need it, and provide support to others in need of it.I'm a 4th year Honors scholar majoring in Biopsychology and minoring in Anthropology at UC Santa Barbara. I am studying abroad during Fall 2021 at University College Utrecht to broaden my perspective on healthcare systems and expand my network internationally. I am currently a participant in the University of Michigan's Future Public Health Leader Program. I am interested in pursing a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and possibly a Masters in Public Health to work in Pediatric Primary Care. I am considering taking off a year or two after I finish my Bachelor's degree to join Peace Corps in order to gain more clinical or volunteer experience, and to satisfy my love of travel.My current hobbies are Mountain Biking with good friends, Running long distance, spending time outside (usually walking my dog), and reading SciFi novels. The book I'm reading right now is called Metro 2035 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. And don't get me started on Star Wars.
