Evan proudly serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer for the Midland Chamber of Commerce. Evan leads an energetic team dedicated to the promotion of Midland and its business community, works with and serves on the Board of Directors, and directs the organization towards its operational and fiscal objectives. Founded in 1924 and in its 100th year, the Midland Chamber is a 900+ member organization. It convenes stakeholders to address critical issues, advocates for solutions, and executes events and programs that offer educational, leadership, and network-building opportunities. Evan leads the Midland Chamber’s operation of the community’s destination marketing organization, Visit Midland, and the management of the city-owned Barbara and George H.W. Bush Convention Center and the Info & Travel Center.

Evan served as the COO and incoming CEO designate for the Midland Chamber of Commerce. In this role, Evan helped guide the Chamber in its promotion of and advocacy for our business members and the community. The Chamber’s events, programs, and initiatives offer learning, promotional, and networking opportunities. Additionally, Evan assisted in the Chamber’s management of the Barbara and George H.W. Bush Convention Center and the VisitMidland Info & Travel Center.

Evan served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Representative August Pfluger, 11th Congressional District of Texas. In that role, he supervised staff, supported constituent service work and outreach, oversaw six district offices spanning twenty counties, and acted as a liaison between the office and constituents, government officials, industries, and advocacy organizations.

Evan served as Vice President of Government Relations and Community Development for Sewell Family of Companies. In this role, he lead efforts to build and foster relationships with community, state, and national leaders and monitored legislative and administrative actions. Evan assisted the company in identifying and developing opportunities for reinvestment and engagement in our communities.
