EVAN TRAEGER-MUNEY is a coach, advisor, entrepreneur, and speaker. Having married into a family of wealth, Evan spent years managing his wife’s family enterprise and working with her family members. He also owns his own business and served the nonprofit sector as an executive and a strategic consultant. With scarce relevant professional resources available, he has had to learn on his own how to traverse the landscape of joining a family of wealth. A few years ago, Evan’s wife, Jamie—a pioneer in wealth psychology—asked him to partner with her to conduct first-of-its-kind research on the emotional wellbeing and thriving of financially diverse couples. Evan saw a clear need for supporting couples in such relationships and was inspired to make a career change. "I felt called to provide my own voice and experience to the field of advising couples—particularly for those in financially diverse relationships and especially men in similar situations to mine." He now specializes in working with clients who have married inheritors. He helps them explore the emotional issues surrounding wealth, inheritance, and relationships and to embrace the gifts and challenges of this unique experience. These include unpacking issues around self-esteem, impact, contribution, feelings of isolation, and more. Evan is known for his intuition and personable nature that allows him to quickly connect with and serve clients navigating complex family dynamics. He loves helping people unlock their full potential and bring their true, authentic selves to their relationships and the world. Evan holds an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University, with concentrations in International Economics and Middle East Studies. He completed his Certified Professional Coach (CPC) training at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC)—the gold standard in coaching education—and is a trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. He has guest lectured at universities and is an active speaker. Married for over three decades, with two adult children, Evan and Jamie continue to invest in and grow their relationship. This enables Evan to bring authenticity and compassion to his work supporting his clients’ own transformations and growth: “We are living these realities just as our clients are. Relationships are always works in progress.” In addition to work and family life, Evan believes in getting out of his comfort zone—he is currently training to race with an amateur sailing team over one of the world's longest and most difficult ocean crossings.
