Volunteered my weekends in the Spring and Fall as a Cadet at the Gimli Gliding Centre. Duties involved working and communicating effectively in a team setting, performing familiarization flights to the visiting air cadet squadrons and teaching cadets basic aspects of aviation on the ground and from the air.Today, my role at the gliding centre has gone from a basic familiarization pilot, to an instructional role. While I do still conduct familiarization flights, I am also responsible for pilot training at the centre, ensuring we conduct a safe operation on the field and performing any tasks or orders as specified by my superiors.
