Evan is an environmental and community planner with more than ten years of direct planning experience focused on land use and environmental planning. His expertise includes authorship assistance and preparation of master plans, general plans, specific plans, and associated environmental documents for jurisdictions that range from more rural and suburban areas, to more urban and developed communities. Evan has prepared plans that address a range of issues associated with preserving the character of a community, working with existing resources, and focusing on sustainable development that creates and utilizes infrastructure effectively. Evan has been instrumental in preparing plans that identify and address a community’s needs and create a sustainable framework for the future. Frequently, these projects have involved creating transit-oriented and pedestrian-friendly developments that incorporate a mix of uses, and have focused on housing policy, transportation planning, hazard mitigation planning, and public outreach in the Sacramento, San Diego, and Anchorage regions. This experience, as well as Evan’s academic endeavors and emphasis towards CEQA/NEPA work, community planning, and public participation methodologies, acts as a solid foundation for future environmental and regional planning.
