Code 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒆𝒔 me. Being able to create massive applications like CS-GO, YouTube, and even LinkedIn from a couple (hundreds of thousands) of keystrokes of code is extremely impressive. The best part of it all? Anyone, with a combination of determination and creativity, can code a giant application from scratch, from the depths of their room, just with a small laptop. That is, in fact, how I started coding. Before my Junior year of high school, I disliked computer science for its complexness and abstractness. Now, however, I appreciate those qualities. I began to enjoy computer science, specifically data science and software engineering, after completing a couple of introductory-level coding projects. Still, there were many times I wanted to quit due to the stress of debugging and failing miserably at doing so.That was over 4 years ago. Through sheer determination and creativity, I've expanded my knowledge of computer science to limits beyond what I could have imagined. Completing complex personal projects, research opportunities, and challenging coursework at Carnegie Mellon University have certainly helped me achieve a strong foundation in all aspects of computer science. Now, I'm ready to take my perseverance, ingenuity, and leadership to a company where I can meaningfully contribute and positively impact the world around me with a couple keystrokes of code.
