People who know me are well aware that I love a good yarn so here is the elevator pitch version of my new adventure first – I have given up my day job to indulge my passions for MC’ing events, bringing people together and of course all things sports! So first and foremost, if you have an event or conference and need an MC, someone to interview your special guest or a charity auctioneer then definitely give me a call. And unlike many MC’s I can also help to co-ordinate the event, recruit the guest speaker and get bums on seats!But taking that a step further the direction of my business will particularly revolve around helping companies to improve their personal relationships with clients … by developing and facilitating events, big and small, from intimate boardroom lunches to larger corporate sports days, that encourage businesses (sales people in particular) getting to know their clients better. So if that was the elevator pitch, then it was a very tall building! Here is the detail … MC-ing – Sportsman's lunches such as the annual Cricketers Club Legends Lunch have certainly become a specialty of mine but I regularly cover awards nights, charity functions such as the Youngcare Ribs & Reds lunch, conferences and even the Lights On The Hill music festival. Celebrity Interviewer – I have interviewed many people on stage from Wally Lewis and Sam Kekovich to Wayne Bennett, Kevin Sheedy, Libby Trickett and Greg Chappell and many more. Auctioneer – I think it would be fair to say that I have raised at least half a million dollars for charity. Networking Facilitator – Bringing people together is something I believe I do naturally and very well. Networking events fail when people cannot connect and that unfortunately happens far more than it should. Particularly through the arena of boardroom lunches and smaller sporting related events such as golf days, I am able to easily put people together to form profitable relationships.
