Salaried project support role on the Swiss National Science Foundation project, Provincialising the Smart City - a digital governance project covering ICT-mediated urban development issues in Global South urban centres. My research focused on the effect of data politics in recasting power dynamics and technical roles between urban governance actors in South African cities. Running concurrent to my doctoral research I coordinated various research and project duties for the international project team. Working closely with the PI, I was responsible for the South African components of the project, including literature reviews, on-site fieldwork, stakeholder outreach and engagement, and project content writing.
