I provide supervisory management support to assigned on-air networks that ensure procedural and staff requirement satisfaction. I ensure that specified technical procedures are being followed, as well as overseeing that multiple networks and their staffs are running without flaws. Many skills are required, such as the ability to problem solve, to work as part of a team, to be detail oriented, and to anticipate problems.

Network manager of Baltimore Oriole-owned Mid Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), a twenty-four hour sports network airing Orioles and Nationals games, among other daily live events, primarily in the Baltimore/DC area. After coordinating the technical operations of this start-up operation, I then oversaw all aspects of the network’s origination from Crawford. This included making sure that I and my staff of eight delivered precisely what the client wanted – often on a moment’s notice. After getting this network up and running, I was able to pass this off to someone else before making the move to a more responsible position.

Managed a staff of five Network Librarians. Responsibilities included overseeing the operation of the Network Library, the central hub of all on-air materials for over twenty cable television networks, including Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The Travel Channel, and others. I was put in charge of implementing the overhaul of Crawford’s database system with a new database containing information on over 700,000 on-air materials. This successful transfer resulted in my being named Network Manager of a new client - Crawford’s only current live sports network, MASN.

Working in the field of broadcasting television networks. Responsibilities included entering incoming programs, commercials, infomercials, and promotions for twenty-plus cable television networks, including Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The Travel Channel, among many others. I also handled all requests for on-air programming for these various networks and also for in-house post-production work. I tracked and distributed tapes checked in/out to the library by other departments. Maintained the library on a daily basis. This entailed, among other things, shifting tapes to allow room for growth, purging old materials, and degaussing or blanking recycled materials to keep a heavy supply of raw stock, and special projects assigned by the Sr. Manager of Library Services.
