Assisting the Richmond operations manager, as well as other regional offices in providing engineering services to our municipal water and wastewater clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Duties include assistance for project development and pursuit, engineering study and design, involvement in pilot studies, and construction administration.

Graduate Research Assistant working under the advising of John Novak, Charles Bott, and Amy Pruden at Virginia Tech, with research funded by Hampton Roads Sanitation District. Research focused on characterization of the volatilization of siloxane compounds and generation of hydrogen sulfide in acid-gas anaerobic sludge digestion. Research findings were utilized for determination of optimal operation for existing full scale digesters at the 54 mgd Atlantic Treatment Plant, owned and operated by Hampton Roads Sanitation District.

Graduate Teaching Assistant and full-time student for courses in the Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Department within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Virginia Tech.

Managed projects, specializing in the engineering study, design, and construction activities for water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution, storage tanks, wastewater collection, and water/wastewater pumping systems.

Conducted design specifically in the realm of utility engineering. Executed studies on water distribution systems, sewage collection systems, and water and wastewater treatment plants for feasible methods of optimization and upgrade. Utilized expertise in AutoCAD in order efficiently design while drafting plans for water distribution lines, gravity and force main wastewater collection systems, and high capacity wastewater pumping stations.

Entry level engineering activities which included utility design, hydraulic water modeling, and site development design. Typical work included engineering design activities, drafting and drawing production and management, development of technical specifications, and field reconnaissance.
