Our core philosophy is that everyone has the ability to learn and all students have a place in education. Very early in her practice Ruth realized that for many students simply working on school work was not enough. Most had yet to acquire the academic skills to tackle their school assignments. One to one teaching needed different programs, and a thorough individualized method. RRLS uses programs like Wilson Reading System, Reading Mastery and Jump Math, We work with students based on their needs.We can incorporate kinesthetic learning, board games or computer apps. We also work with technology programs such as Read and Write Gold and Kurzweil. Our teachers have proper accreditation, are thoroughly vetted and trained before they join our team. Preparation is an essential element for each lesson. Written reports are generated on a regular basis. We hold informal and formal meetings with parents and if possible classroom teachers.   Having spent my previous life as a playwright, director, producer, journalist and sales person for the arts I turned my attention to education in 2004. My focus as CEO of Ruth Rumack's Learning Space is two fold. First off I want to help students and parents find their own unique educational path, which gives parents peace of mind, and inspires the students to discover a love for their own personal learning. Secondly I want to give my teachers and staff an inspirational workplace to grow their talents, realize their potential, and be as creative as they possibly can. Each day that I'm able to merge these two goals into one effort, where people are becoming happier, knowledgeable and more fulfilled while showing others how beautiful education can be is an accomplishment in itself.
