Responsible for transcoding raw camera files from production, breaking down and organizing edit projects for editors, syncing and logging all footage, following through on edit notes, as well as conform, online and delivery

Assistant editor for many projects that come through the facility, including trailer re-edits and features. Responsible for all final master deliveries- files, DCPs, DVD/Blurays- to clients. Edit trailers for films distributed in-house for various film markets and festivals.

In addition to being the lead on mastering at this small post house in Hollywood, also handle conform and DI Editing of new feature films. Responsible for all mastering to tape (HDCam-SR and Digibeta) as well as DVD/BluRay- via Final Cut Pro, Davinci, Adobe Premiere and Nucoda- including syncing audio to final locked picture, ensuring highest quality of all video and audio elements and occasional QC. Conform of camera raw files (Arri, R3D, GoPro, etc) to offline edit for DI, including basic VFX such as split screens, painting out pixels and some basic color correction. Responsible for creation of Digital Cinema Packages (DCP) via EasyDCP for delivery to clients worldwide.

Responsible for media management, building sequences to client spec for tape layoff, fixing video and audio errors within Final Cut Pro, exporting deliverable files of various codecs. Sync numerous channels of audio to video, at different line standards and frame rates. Conform media to client specifications for tape or file deliverable. Trailer cut-downs for JetBlue Airlines. Insert automated dialogue replacement (ADR) into television cut-downs for broadcast.

Work with tape and deck formats such as digibeta, HDCAM, HDCAM-SR, DVCAM, Beta-SP, D5; create masters conformed to client specs; ensured quality of video and audio with thorough spot QC of all tape masters. Capturing of tape-based media onto SAN systems. Convert various media types using Alchemist and UKON machines. Apply video legalizing and audio limiting of masters during layoff and duplication. Apply time tailor for television air masters to adhere to client-requested runtime. Encode closed-captioning onto tape masters. Use of Dolby E ProLogic encoders and decoders for more involved duplication work. Use of client-specific watermarking for file capturing and duplication (Civolution).

Ensure quality of video and audio of feature films and television shows for numerous clients such as Universal, Paramount, Fox, Fremantle Media and iTunes. Capture various programs into Final Cut Pro and Clipster while performing real-time QC’s (prequals). Format closed captioning files for feature films and television broadcasts. Experience with digital betacams, D5, HDCAM-SR, HDCAM, J2K, DVD screening materials and other digital formats. Experience with conversion tools such as Alchemist and UKON. Training of new team members and contributing to the organization and efficiency of workflows in the QC department.

Responsible for organization and maintenance of all incoming products into 2G Vault; in charge of shipments to clients around the world, as well as deliveries to local studios such as Sony, Fox, Universal and Paramount; communicating within the company regarding the vault's activities in terms of incoming/outgoing products.
