Conducted personalized online instruction sessions for students from 1st grade through undergraduate levels. Sessions were conducted through state-of-the-art distance learning software, both through text and by voice, with a focus on teaching students the skills they need to be ready for future challenges instead of simply helping students to meet the demands of a particular assignment or task. Wrote and presented concrete learning plans for students to assist in setting realistic goals for improvement, identifying key weaknesses, and communicating a short list of key next steps. Students were encouraged to consider the long-term trajectory of their academic career and given instruction that emphasizes the values of lifelong learning and a growth-oriented mindset.Reviewed and analyzed academic materials sent by students asynchronously, using the benefits of an online learning platform to engage students whose schedules did not allow for direct engagement. Instruction was focused on helping students to find important resources targeted to the material they presented and achieve understanding instead of simply finding answers.
