Evan Cook is a GIS and Database Manager at Moore Farms Botanical Garden. He possess expertise in gis, environmental science, data collection, remote sensing, research and 32 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Evan has been my teaching assistant three times for two different GIS courses – one for graduate students and two for undergraduate students. In that time, I observed not only his remarkable knowledge and expertise in GIS, and associated computer science skills, but also his extremely hard work ethic, his integrity, and his generous nature. He spent countless hours in the GIS Lab helping students before and after class with their laboratory assignments and would also correspond via email with students to answer their questions when the lab was closed. Not only is Evan a gifted tutor but when I asked him to cover lectures for me while I was at conferences he did so with great enthusiasm. Student feedback revealed that he excels at teaching a large body of students as well as one on one. Evan's research expertise, hard work ethic, and gift for and love of teaching and working with others allows for an ideal mix of ingredients for him to be highly successful in academia, government, or the private sector."
