I am a junior at the University of St. Thomas studying Financial Management and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Psychology. I am very passionate about investing, non-profits, and entrepreneurship and have pursued these interests in coursework at St. Thomas in classes such as Investments, Corporate Finance, and Entrepreneurship. During the past year, I have also developed a large interest in Psychology and Self-Development, and as a result have added a Psychology Minor to my St. Thomas degree. I have found it very interesting to learn about social psychology specifically, because it has helped me gain a better understanding of human behavior and why people make the decisions they do. I look forward to using a combination of the technicality of my financial studies, the creativity of my entrepreneurial studies, and the sociality of my psychology studies in the professional world during and after my time at St. Thomas. In addition to academics, a large part of my experience at St. Thomas was embarking on the London Business Semester in the Spring of 2023. Accompanied by 50 other St. Thomas students, I took a full course load while living in London for 4 months. During this time, I took weekend trips to 14 other countries, raised almost $900 in a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities, and visited prestigious professional settings in London like the Lloyd's of London insurance marketplace and the alternative investment firm, Castlelake. I learned a lot about myself, global business, and cultural differences while in London, and I look forward to being able to bring that knowledge and experience to life outside of St. Thomas.
