- Conducted regular environmental health and safety audits of two metals service center facilities- Directed weekly safety meetings with over 75 plant employees- Served as chairman of facility Safety Committee- Assisted in leading plant wide 5S programs to facilitate safe and quality work habits- Conducted Task Based Risk Assessments (TaBRA) to uncover and remedy high frequency hazards- Studied and evaluated Operational Availability for key processes to reduce downtime and increase system output- Received facility scorings of 100% on Corporate Safety Audit assessing facility safety solutions and improvements- Developed relationships with outside vendors to effectively introduce and maintain new Personal Protective Equipment and Material handling systems- Trained all new employees on safety rules and procedures as well as material handling equipment operation- Worked with a diverse group of employees to create and improve upon a "safety first culture" in a production environment
