The J. Erik Jonsson Center is a seasonal conference center for the National Academy of Sciences located upon Quissett Harbor in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The property consists of the historic Hackerman House, and Clark Carriage House. The idyllic scenery provides for a tranquil meeting setting, or for a vacation-retreat ambiance for special events. General Service Position: included a variety of different responsibilities and duties while on a five-person staff. These responsibilities include; information technology assistance, hospitality and introducing participants to the property, preparing meeting spaces for groups, time-management, and organization, landscape, historical preservation, general cleaning, some carpentry, some electrical work. The 2021 season was highlighted by overhauls to meeting spaces to incorporate virtual meeting capabilities. Primary duties included supervising conferences to mitigate issues with the hybrid in-person–virtual sessions. The season culminated with decommissioning the two buildings on-site in preparation for private sale.

Newport, Ri

Spring 2021 semester internship for the Cliff Walk Commission of Newport, Rhode Island sponsored through the John E. McGinty Fund. The project consisted of self-driven research on hurricane recovery efforts on the renowned Cliff Walk landmark throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. The project culminated with a twenty-five-page article based mainly on primary source evidence.

Research Assistant: A contract position that investigated the history of Jewish basketball players in professional basketball. This position focused on the historical research process; such as tracking sources, formatting Chicago Style bibliographies, Excel spreadsheets, and significant statistics work.

Archives and Special Collections Assistant:A variety of projects during a work-study position. The first project included organizing and cataloging books within the NHS library, which required cataloging titles, authors, call numbers, publishers, Library of Congress numbers, International Standard Book Numbers, and book conditions. The second project focused on examining and cross-comparing appraisals for a collection of historical books that belonged to a high-profile local historical figure. The third project was examining and cataloging a series of historical photographs of Newport onto an online database to later be used for an online archive.
