My current role at BNY Mellon in the Operations Campus Analyst program is being a Data Analyst for Global Business Support. My day to day work involves writing functional requirements for our technology teams so they can develop solutions to remediate our manual processes. I also perform various data analyses in my day to day work as well, utilizing SQL queries, PowerBI, and various other ETL tools to create analytics that help management make informed decisions on how to optimize cash operations and payment processing.

My job was to aid in the introduction of entity-relationship diagramming, SQL, relational schemas, star schemas, SAP Business Objects Analysis, and Tableau to students. I also must show strong leadership and problem-solving skills within the office hours I hold in order to create a collaborative learning environment.

My role was to solve a lot of the data issues within the cash operations team in our department. I created an R script that outputted an automated excel report that determined the ROI from deploying automation initiatives, created a confluence page on how to utilize Oracle SQL developer, and I aided in migrating data from our old project management software to Jira, a new cloud based project management software.

BUILD is an organization that does pro bono tech consulting for nonprofits and small businesses around Amherst, Massachusetts and other areas close to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My role is to pitch projects to potential new customers, explain the ins and outs of what the projects will entail, and how the clients will benefit in the immediate future and long-term. I am also assigned to projects that require the use of SQL queries, operational database maintenance, and the analysis of long-term trends by using analytical databases.

Wellcare healthcare plans is one of the 2 biggest government sponsored healthcare corporations in the United States. I have had the pleasure of being a business analyst intern here for the entire summer. During my time at Wellcare I have created a comprehensive training guide on procedural sql for new business analyst hires, queried claims data on thousands of Medicaid plan members at a time and created ad hoc reports that show their total monthly claim costs, which is incurred by wellcare. I have also had to determine whether or not to terminate or keep members on our Medicaid plans by analyzing state data and comparing it to Wellcare’s data.

I interacted with inventory, planning, CRM and POS systems to estimate and analyze consumer demand and purchase behavior. I identified consumer trends and developed effective strategies to drive conversions, and growth in revenue per customer. Lastly, I researched industry trends and compiled competitive analysis to determine GNC position in the marketplace in the minds of consumers.
