Supervised 16 civilian and enlisted personnel in daily operations, such as medical record verification, patient compliance, medical records transfer and training of all new and current employees. Total records managed was approximately 45,000 a year.Medical Assistant Great Lakes, IL, Okinawa, Japan, and Everett, WA. June 2009 – April 2015.Monitored vital signs, maintained accurate records of patient care, condition and progress, scheduled and accompanied clients to medical appointments on base or off base. Assisted the nurses and physicians with patient treatment and diagnosis. Total treated approximately 4,800 patients a year.Housing Manager Assistant Okinawa, Japan. November 2011 – June 2012.Assisted the Housing Manager for Camp Hansen, in personnel moves, maintenance, and unit transfers. In detail, I oversaw the front desk where all new personnel checked into. While detached to this unit, I created a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for everyone working there. Immunization Coordinator – Okinawa, Japan. June 2012 – September 2013.Managed the Immunization Department for Camp Butler. Trained to administer over 20 different immunizations, with approximately 125 patients weekly, with an average of 375 inoculations given. Supervised all smallpox inoculations and follow-ups, averaging 2,080 patients per year.Exceptional Family Member Program Coordinator – Everett, WA. November 2013 – April 2015.Responsible for nearly 400 families in the Pacific Northwest in getting appropriate medical treatment, home needs, and duty stations where the service member’s family can get the necessary medical coverage. This included information and training for the families to understand how critical the program is for military families with special needs.
