Hi, I'm Evan! I most recently worked at Stripe, where I was Head of Risk Partnerships, Americas, representing Stripe’s innovative risk and compliance systems to our most important partners and managing our global risk policies.Prior to that, I led our 10+ member Risk Strategy org that worked with product teams to ensure cross-functional readiness for new product and market launches. In six years on Stripe's Risk team, I helped scale the team from ~10 to ~300 while the company itself grew 20x in size. My work focused on fraud analytics, the development of user policies and enforcement tools, identity, KYC, and onboarding policies, and expanding our global network of partners, including a 6-month stint where I was based in Singapore. My previous research focused on intellectual property and pharmaceutical policy. My book, DRUG WARS: HOW BIG PHARMA RAISES PRICES AND KEEPS GENERICS OFF THE MARKET, co-authored with Professor Robin Feldman, is now available via Cambridge University Press. On the journalism side, I was an associate producer on the Emmy-nominated team behind NBC's coverage of the Rio, Pyeongchang, Tokyo, Beijing, and Paris Olympics, specifically working on programming schedules and cross-platform promotional graphics, and I've also been a writer/researcher for NBC's "Football Night in America." My sportswriting regularly appears in the Yale Alumni Magazine and on MLB.com, and I've contributed headlines to ClickHole, the Onion's popular humor website.
