During my internship at IBM, I was a member of the DB2 Release Team which oversees the validation and final preparations before a new version of IBM's Relational Database Management System, DB2, would release to the public. During my internship, I was instrumental in the process of delivering multiple releases of DB2 10.5, 11, and 11.1.My role involved many aspects including generating license files for each edition of DB2 released that detailed what an end user would be entitled to with their purchase, creating Certificates of Originality to ensure no open source software licenses used with that release of DB2 were violated, and creating and maintaining a Bill of Materials for each release of DB2 that detailed what products were included in each edition. Additionally, I was in charge of creating, updating, and maintaining real-time reports generated by IBM Cognos 10.2. These reports were heavily viewed daily by managers and the department head, so upkeep and changes to ensure all relevant information was shown was essential. To improve this, I spearheaded the department's upgrade to IBM Cognos 11, which offered faster report loading, more reporting features, and easier maintainability.
