I am a bilingual Master’s graduate interested in software engineering positions in the U.S. My work history includes Advisory Consultant in Technology Risk with Deloitte U.S. and a couple of internships in the field of Audit. My past experience has helped me improved my skills in problem-solving, time management, communication, and most importantly, it has equipped me with the ability to adapt to new knowledge quickly and work in a collaborative workplace. However, my true passion lies in the field of development. I've been working in Python for about 9 months now, and after I left my previous job in February 2018, I started taking a lot of online courses, mostly through Laracasts, but also through PluralSight and Udemy to learn PHP, Laravel, and Golang. I've also been working on a few personal projects following along with the tutorials. The two projects I’ve enjoyed the most were building a simple API using the Laravel framework, and building a package in Go that offers basic functions for playing with playing cards. The largest project I’ve been working on though has been building an online forum in Laravel. The last project is still work in process. All three projects are public on GitHub at https://github.com/evangeline013.I am currently studying Golang and AWS while continuing to work on projects in Laravel. I’m always looking to take on new projects to improve my skills while I look for new opportunities in software engineering in the Detroit area.
