Evangelos Pantazis is a co-founder and Principal at Topotheque design office, a studio that engages with various tangent disciplines of design, including architecture, product and furniture design, as well as fabrication and plastic arts. He is currently working as a research and teaching assistant at the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. His research deals with the notion of performance driven design and its materialisation with robotic fabrication by employing agent based design systems. Evan holds a Masters of Advanced studies in the field of Computer Aided Architectural Design from the ETH in Zurich. He graduated with Honours from the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki, faculty of Architecture in 2010 and is licensed architect in Greece. He has also be trained as a jeweller (design& manufacturing) from the MOKUME jewellery design school in 2007.Professionally, Evan has gained experience in several international offices, including Graft in Berlin and Studio Pei Zhu in Beijing. His latest work is focusing on establishing a continuous chain and feedback loop through multi agent design systems between architectural design as well as material and fabrication systems.
