At the time, she was a corporate sustainability consultant. Six years of independent research and the events of 2020 prompted her decision to leave the corporate world and work with independent “new media” platforms in the Netherlands (of which there are, fortunately, quite a few). In October 2021, she joined De Andere Krant, a 100% reader-funded print newspaper, writing weekly contributions on the topics of “people and power.” (De Andere Krant literally means “The Other Newspaper,” but it also has a double meaning, “The other side of the story.”) Elze has an unparalleled capacity to do deep-dive research and loves teaching and sharing information. Increasingly, she is devoting her time to in-person presentations and workshops, having discovered that live discussions are often necessary to help “land” the information that she shares.
