Folkmoot USA a year-round cultural center, with a focus on programs and events that celebrate diversity, encourage cultural inclusion, and honor worldwide cultural heritages, especially using dance and music as a tool to achieve world peace.

Assistant Director for Black and Global Roots Concerts, a presenting nonprofit arts organization. I managed concert production, web design, grant writing and documentation.

Festival Director for LocalFest, an Arts and Culture festival highlighting the music, craft, arts, food, and agricultural history of Orange County, North Carolina. I was in charge of programming, production, content, artist relations, design and implementation of the festival.

Executive Director for the North Carolina Folklife Institute (NC Folk). I administered the activities of NC Folk including advocacy, grants, and education for the statewide non-profit arts organization. NC Folk seeks to document place-rooted culture in North Carolina and the tradition bearers that carry folklife forward. NC Folk works to promote the preservation, appreciation, and understanding of NC folk culture.In addition, I worked as a field for the organization, conducting interviews in four Southeastern North Carolina counties. I worked to collect oral histories, take photographs, and document culture and events in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson and Scotland counties. I also worked as an instructor for NC Folk, teaching fundamentals of ethnography.

As Director of Folk and Traditional Arts Programming for the Arts Center of Cannon County,I designed and implemented a progressive, award-winning folk arts program that provided a national model for similar organizations. As Director, I ran and produced for Spring Fed Records, a Grammy-winning traditional music label boasting titles from Uncle Dave Macon, Mississippi John Hurt and the Fairfield Four. I acted as Director and Curator of the Cannon Cultural Museum, which was created to,house the Caldwell Collection, a collection I brokered of Southern vernacular artwork. I developed and implemented a self driven,college student internship project for the center.I curated dozens of gallery and museum shows, created heritage touism projects, and documentary projects about the culture of the area.
