Current project is the design and development of a service-oriented architecture in C# and C++ at Allison Transmission International. This application aims to tie in many existing applications at ATI, first and foremost a simulation engine built in C++ that provides all calculations of the interworkings of a transmission.1. Developer and architect for an MVC 4.0 (C# / .NET 4.5 Framework) web portal demo for Franklin Electric that interfaced with a cloud-based database2. Solo three-month sustainment project at Franklin Electric from 3/25/2014 to 6/30/2014. This project was primarily concerned with rewriting one of FE's systems' internal Javascript to allow for cross browser support and additional security3. Application Development and Consolidated Application Support sustainment project at Allison Transmission on 7/7/2014. Languages involved include Objective-C, C, C++, C#/.NET, and Java4. Master's Thesis project advised by Marc Schieber, M.D./Ph.D. I was trained to work with non-human primates, specifically those with implanted Utah multielectrode arrays. This project analysed the nature of single-neuron activity in the primary motor cortex during an individuated finger and wrist movement task. I used principal component analysis and cross-covariance/cross-correlation techniques to examine whether M1 neurons encoded information for single digit motion or they encoded information for the control of kinematic synergies. My analysis shows that neither principal component analysis nor independent component analysis produce kinematic synergies that are implemented by the primary motor cortex. Furthermore, it is unlikely that neither of these methods are appropriate means of simplification with a hand motor neuroprosthesis.This research was presented at a dissertation in September, 2013, and then successfully defended.

Capstone design project for biomedical engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. My specialty was embedded system development and data acquisition loop optimization.

I developed a Java-based GUI for use with standalone HiFU (High Frequency Focused Ultrasound) machines. I also participated in research on HiFU and LoFU treatments on the prostate; I worked with a proteomics lab as well as recorded laboratory notes.
