Evan Linkner is a Principal at Ackman-Ziff, where he heads the SFR/BFR Group and leads the Special Situations practice. Founded in 1926, Ackman-Ziff is a global leader in structuring and placing creative capital solutions for institutional counterparties. Since founding Ackman-Ziff’s Single Family Rental Group in 2012, the firm is considered the sector’s foremost institutional financier, with up to $7 billion of annual equity and debt placement mandates. Since 2002, Evan has led over $30 billion of real estate transactions as either a capital advisor or principal investor. In 2006, Evan founded First Atlantic Capital Management, a contrarian investment fund that successfully forecasted the collapse of the real estate markets and established a platform to profit from the market inefficiency. Prior to First Atlantic, Evan led the investments team for a privately held real estate company. Evan is the Chair Emeritus and a board member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board. Evan additionally sits on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization. Evan holds multiple Master’s Degrees from Harvard University where he studied finance, economics and real estate. Evan additionally has a BBA. Evan has received numerous awards and honors including the Marshal Award for graduating at the top of his class at Harvard.
