Assisted with ongoing research in the BRIDGE Lab, about precision agriculture. Worked with my superiors, graduate students, and other undergraduate research assistants to reach a common goal. Helped collect ground truth data including soil samples, leaf-area index readings, porometer/flouromoter readings, and captured aerial imagery via drone. Helped to set up data collection protocols. Managed GIS operations for the lab using the ESRI suite of GIS software. Managed and formatted data so that it could be processed using the R programming language. Managed a fleet of drones consisting of one DJI Matrice 300, one DJI P4 Multispectral, and one DJI Mavic Air 2S, as well as one Micasense Altum Camera. Used Pix4D to stitch together drone images to build a field-level mosaic. Assisted in writing peer-reviewed articles and extension publications. Conducted literature reviews related to emerging technologies that may prove to be useful to the lab. Set up meetings with vendors about potential equipment purchases and took bids.

Maintained the chemical program, and recorded all chemical applications. Maintained adequate soil moisture levels and maintained the irrigation system. Also made some personnel decisions including; job posting, hiring, and terminations.

Assisted in managing routine operations of an 18-hole private golf course consisting of bentgrass greens and tees, zoysia fairways and bluegrass fescue rough. Supervised a team of ten members and trained new employees. Implemented and recorded fertilizer and chemical programs. Maintained and repaired an aging irrigation system that was completely renovated in 2015. Oversaw tee and drainage construction projects. Performed basic equipment maintenance. Assumed the role of superintendent for periods of up to a week at a time.
