My role is to consolidate, champion and strengthen the influence of the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Mental Health across Birmingham and Solihull (BSol), and to contribute to fundamental strategic decisions in the transformation of mental health services and commissioning in the region. I work to secure and enhance the contribution of Mental Health VCSE organisations in Birmingham and Solihull within the emerging Integrated Care System (ICS) organisation. I am employed by Living Well Consortium (LWC) but work with all third sector mental health & wellbeing providers operating in Birmingham and Solihull whether members of LWC or not.

The objectives of the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust are to: raise awareness of young suicide, to urge all who are suffering in silence to speak up and ask for help, and to support young people who are fighting to overcome poor mental health, especially where this can be done through outdoor activities like hill-walking and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which Cameron enjoyed so much.The Cameron Grant Memorial Trust is registered with the Charities Commission (registered charity number 1167221) and our homepage is www.camgrant.org.uk

I retired from IBM on 5 Feb 2021. I now focus on running the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust and other mental health advocacy.

Sales and Business Operations Leader for IBM business with Central Government & Defence clients.

The UK & Ireland Transformation initiative was sponsored by the UK & Ireland General Manager with 10 principal workstreams. As Programme Manager I was responsible for delivering results across all workstreams and for reporting progress weekly to the UK & Ireland Leadership Team.I reported to the VP of Strategy, managed the Transformation Team and lead the extended programme team across all 10 workstreams.

I proposed and lead the UK & Ireland Transformation Jam, an on-line event for all in IBM UK & Ireland, which ran from 16-18 March 2010. 4,500 people participated and we used the excellent suggestions made to shape the subsequent Transformation programme.In earlier transformation work, I lead the detailed re-design of the IBM UK & Ireland sales coverage model, re-balancing direct and indirect sales resource, and I lead the introduction of the Client Value Method, a new sales method, to all IBM UK & Ireland sales managers and sellers. From March 2008-July 2009, while working on transformation projects, I was also the second-line manager for the Shared Services group in UK & Ireland Sales Operations. This team of 65 covered: pipeline reporting and analysis, customer satisfaction, coverage changes, international sales support, complaints, claims and business controls.

I managed pipeline, sales forecasting and reporting across all the six sales teams in Financial Services Sector for UK, Ireland & South Africa. I also managed quota deployment, target setting, and payment validation.

As Location Manager for IBM Warwick my responsibilities included representing IBM to the Midlands business community. I was the Deputy Chairman of the Advantage West Midlands ICT Cluster Opportunity Group.

I drove weekly sales management for IBM software sales to customers of IBM Strategic Outsourcing across Europe. I coached key sales situations and assessed forecasts to Regional IBM Software Group Leadership, and to the Global Software Group team.I promoted best practice and lessons learnt across the 8 Regional teams and built the 90 members of the team into a single community.

My Outsourcing Infrastructure Solutions software sales and migration team worked with SO customers in UK, Netherlands, Ireland & Scandinavia. We were responsible for making the case to clients for migrating from competitive mainframe software to IBM Software, and then doing the migrations.

I lead several European marketing and operational projects during the life of the "Year 2000 Business". My responsibilities included the marketing of Year 2000 Code Inspection Services, and leading the development and implementation of the IBM Year 2000 Contingency Planning offering in Europe.

I managed a team of technical consultants and salesmen based in the Midlands and North. We delivered IT consultancy to SME customers in this area and established the Client/Server Services practice for IBM in this territory.

A short-term development role working as Executive Assistant to the Marketing Director in order to gain wider experience of IBM. Projects included the official opening of IBM Bedfont by Michael Heseltine.

During this period I worked as a Systems Engineer then as a Salesman with SME customers and prospects in the West Midlands.

I am a Mental Health First Aid England Instructor delivering courses directly, and through other mental health training organisations. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. You can become a Mental Health First Aider by attending a 2 day course which provides you with skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and to then guide the person affected towards the right support.MHFA is First Aid and not therapy.
