Sensitive musicianship and a voice described as “clear” with “sweet highs” and “an impressive range” have brought soprano Evanne Browne solo engagements with many of the nation’s outstanding chamber music ensembles, including the Smithsonian Chamber Players, Washington Bach Consort, the Folger Consort, Hesperus, Texas Baroque Ensemble, Palestrina Choir, the National Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, the Handel Festival Orchestra, The Orchestra of the 17th Century, Washington Cornett and Sackbutt Ensemble, and the Washington Chamber Symphony. Ms. Browne has appeared in recital and as soloist at Christ Church in Oxford, England; Lahti, Finland; Utrecht and Amsterdam, Netherlands; Venice, Spain, Portugal, Bosnia, and Slovenia; throughout Texas; in historic settings in St. Mary’s City and Annapolis, Maryland; and widely in the Nation’s Capitol, Washington DC including the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian Institution’s historic “Hall of Musical Instruments.” Solo appearances include obscure works as well as the familiar: Handel’s Messiah, numerous Cantatas of Telemann and Bach, the Bach St. John’s Passion and Magnificat, Scarlatti’s Stabat Mater, Cavalli and Monteverdi Vespers, Cavalieri’s Lamentations of Jeremia, as well as staged versions of the medieval Play of Daniel, Monteverdi’s Orfeo, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneus at the Kennedy Center, and a celebrated performance of Hildegard von Bingen’s Ordo virtutum with the Folger Consort at the National Cathedral, photographed and featured on the cover of Early Music America magazine. Solo singing has been heard on National Public Radio in broadcasts of live concerts from Texas and the French Embassy in Washington, DC. Studied Baroque performance practices under Max van Egmond at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam and received her Master of Music performance degree (voice) from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.

Assisting with the musical preparation for nine performances by this established cultural institution which has been active in the greater Washington area for over 30 years. Washington Revels, which is dedicated to reviving and celebrating the cultural traditions through music, dance, storytelling, and drama that have bound communities together over the ages and across the globe. During weekly rehearsals, conduct sectionals; create on-line study guides on pronunciation of French using IPA, and contribute to translations and other documents in support of musical excellence of the ensemble.Wrote vocal descants and hand bell parts to enhance the selected music. Composed a dramatic piece for voices and hand bells used in the 2019 performance of "Celestial Fools" and the piece was selected for a public radio performance of the best of Revels in 2020.

As one of several professional artists across the area, conduct weekly rehearsals for one of the Encore Creativity ensembles. Encore's goal is to provide participatory art programs for the physical health, mental health, and social functioning of older persons. examining the influence of active engagement in the arts on the overall health of older adults. They perform several times a year, including in December at the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Recruit, program and conduct performances by Colorado's only vocal ensemble specializing in the historically authentic performance of baroque music. The Seicento Baroque Ensemble is a semi-professional, auditioned chamber choir noted for its performances of lesser known 17th and 18th century Baroque choral music using historically-informed performance practices. The ensemble fills a void in the Colorado choral scene by performing inspirational and worthy Baroque choral music, especially music of the 1600s, the Seicento. Highlights have included the Monteverdi Vespers of 1610 with members of the Washington Sackbut and Cornetto Ensemble, a concert of voices and viols, an historic tribute to music influenced by Queen Christina of Sweden, and the Western hemisphere premier of the fabulously beautiful Dies Irae by Delalande. Seicento emphasizes education, teaching singers and audiences of all ages about the Baroque period, Baroque music, Baroque composers, compositions and performance practices, including the basic vocabulary of a baroque vocal style and articulation as well as period-appropriate pronunciation of English, Italian, German, German Latin, French Latin and French. At the heart of the ensemble are soloists whose depth of experience will contribute to rapid assimilation of Baroque vocal style and technique thus assuring accurate recreation of challenging music. These individuals may be featured in solos and small ensembles during performances.

In addition, founded the community choir including over 400 singers in major classical works performed with orchestra at least twice a year. Created great sense of musical community and brought excellence and opportunity for area singers of all levels. Managed the city’s 3rd largest performance venue and the extensive performance and facility use program. Substantially increased the number of scheduled events by networking with local groups, analyzing their needs, and problem solving to provide more affordable performance opportunities; doubled rental income through increased volume while maintaining a high quality experience for the audiences. Working with multiple non-profits and prominent arts organizations, scheduled and booked performances, wrote contracts with performing artists and organizations to include commercial general liability requirements, indemnification, and unique contractual clauses. Managed public outreach calendar; assisted with publicity. Planned and opened a new public art gallery space, now constantly in use. Noticeably increased visibility of the building as an arts center by programming quality and diverse events; successfully recruited and worked with performing organizations in film, literature, dance ensembles, orchestras, choruses, theater, political speakers, and spiritual leaders. Worked A/V with engineers. Oversaw repairs to facility and facility parking lot. Created a welcoming environment. Supervised a full time maintenance custodian and 3 weekend/special events custodians. Oversaw $300,000 renovation of historic organ and ran the fund raising for rebuilding the performance hall piano. Collaborated, recruited volunteers and hired staff. Actively served on program planning and development teams, setting budget and mission, implementing strategic plans.
