Provide technical writing support and guidance for Amtrak’s Mechanical, Engineering, Safety, and Quality Management & Compliance departments• Assist all Amtrak facilities with refining documentation and information for site-specific materials• Preserve strict revision control and archival standards on all documents while maintaining logs and records required for referencing, regulatory, and auditing purposes• Collaborate and communicate with multiple internal departments and national agencies, e.g., management, engineering, regulatory agencies, vendors, subject matter experts, and mechanical unions, to provide accurate, time-sensitive information• Vet and revise multiple types of documentation to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance to all federal, state, and local regulatory agencies• Verify and ensure continuity between all related processes, procedures, and practices• Comprehensive editing on strategic, operational, analytic, mechanical, safety, and regulatory documentation• Review and validate vendor manuals to ensure contractual obligations • Research and diagnose documentation and informational gaps• Analyze nationwide best practices for processes, workflow and sequence of operations• Establish First Article Inspections (FAI), testing, and acceptance procedures • Create end-user materials, such as, work instructions, user guides, training curricula, and job aids• Develop and perform national education programs on regulatory compliance, inspections, and records retention via seminars, one-on-one, and step-by-step instructional slides• Create and distribute all national mechanical safety and vital correspondence• Manage user accounts and perform instructional assistance as a Paradigm administrator, while orchestrating document approval flow and distribution notifications
