I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR: * Evaluate alarm signals and advice the maintenance department to effectively troubleshoot the fault(s) as well as determine and carry out isolation of energy sources to equipment to enable maintenance repair works to be carried out.* Organise morning meetings to discuss the status of the Plant and other operational issues as well as prepare Plant Daily Status Report for management information and action to ensure the availability and reliability of the Plant.* Supervise and carry out the start-up and shutdown of the gas turbine to ensure efficient,effective,safe and uninterrupted functioning of the Plant and equipment.* Carry out confined space entry test, issue hot-work permit, log out-tag out, and permit to work to ensure safety of employees and equipment.* Oversee and direct the routine activities of subordinate staff.* Responsible for the efficient and safe running of the Plant and auxiliary equipment ensuring the availability of the Plant in accordance with the PPA and more......... .

* Monitoring continuously the performance of the turbine and auxiliary equipment whilst running as well as during turning gear processes to ensure the safety of the unit and operatives.* Check and commission prime turbines and auxiliary equipment to ensure safety of the plant,equipment and staff prior to start-up and shout-down of the unit.* Daily report on all plant activities,defectives and performance of the unit.* Communicating with System Control Centre (SCC) and other generation stations for effective management of the grid system.* Carrying out isolation and de-isolation of electrical power,water,air and fuel equipment to enable staff of maintenance department to undertake maintenance and repairs of equipment.* Issuing of work permit under strict safety conditions for maintenance teams.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills* Knowledge in Auto-CAD,Microsoft,excel and internet applications* Major installation of parts such as diffuser,flex seals,exhaust plenum and lube oil systems* Final alignments of the Gas Turbine to it correct position* Initial and final alignments of the Generator to the Gas Turbine* Mounting of the Load coupling that connects the Gas Turbine to the Generator* Anchoring of skids such as Air Processing Unit,Distillate Fuel Oil,Light Crude Oil,Cool Water motor and compressor* Flushing of the cooling water and the lube ill systems
