In my final year of university I decided to run for UoS Sports Committee and with 1650 students voting it was an incredible achievement to gain the role of Club Sport RepresentativeThe job involves being the student representative for all 52 sports clubs at the university. I communicate with students and clubs and feedback to Sport Sheffield and other university staff to implement change. One of my proudest achievements in the role so far is leading the universities This Girl Can campaign where the goal was to remove the fear of judgement women face in sport and exercise. I hosted a podcast episode with Dr Emma Ross, ex Head of Physiology at the English Institute of Sport and Director at Thrive Revolution, where we discussed the lack of research in female athletes bodies and the barriers women face in sport. I also collaborated with a number of women's groups at the university and held a live panel talk with them to discuss the wider challenges women face in everyday life.Despite being faced with the barriers of the pandemic I have helped change the profile of the work Sports Committee carries out, become confident in communicating in a professional setting and built upon my leadership skills as chair of a subgroup.

My bar duties included: replenishing stock, operating tills, supervision of duty staff, responsibility for bar area, serving and interacting with customers, preparation of food.

In my role as an Activity Leader at a language camp for international students, I lead various excursions and gave walking tours to major UK cities, built positive relationships with students and colleagues and acted as a role model for the company by having a professional attitude when communicating with external companies.

As a swimming teacher my job was to plan and lead swimming sessions to children of various ages and abilities, communicate with parents the progress of their children, mentor trainee teachers, track progress and be responsible for the health and safety of the class.
