I am the Assistant Director of Communications & Digital Media for the University of Denver in the Division of Athletics, specifically with the gymnastics, women's soccer, men's tennis and women's tennis teams.My role is the equivalent of a sports information director. I manage the team's website, social media presence, public/media relations and sports information. I also support communications needs for all 18 of our Division I sport programs and am one of our leads in graphic/visual design and photography.I was first hired at DU in May 2012 as the Web Services Manager for the Division of Athletics & Recreation where I maintained websites and digital marketing for the recreation department including student, youth and community programs while ensuring consistent branding and content across all of our communications platforms (digital and in-arena).From August 2014 through July 2022, I added my role in communications for the gymnastics team on top of my responsibility as Web Services Manager. When the athletics and recreation departments were separated in summer 2022, my role shifted exclusively to the athletics communications department where I added the women's soccer, men's tennis and women's tennis teams to my existing responsibilities with the gymnastics team.For six years, I freelanced as a Production Assistant/Social Media Manager for Disson Skating, which produced figure skating/entertainment shows for television broadcast on ABC and NBC. I managed Disson's website and social media campaigns while also serving as the official photographer.My biggest hobby is sports photography, which I weave into my career at every opportunity. I am a proud new owner of a Nikon Z8 and continue to own my Nikon D750, both of which I pair with my f/2.8 70-200 and f/2.8 24-70 lenses.
