Artmedia Group is a small web boutique which manages the main e-commerce websites for the publishing company Hay House, Inc. In addition to managing their main e-commerce website hayhouse.com, Artmedia builds and maintains websites for Hay House's big selling authors, and other projects (healyourlife.com, dyermovie.com).I worked as the lead developer for several projects, which involved managing development timelines, and coordinating with production and QA departments to push the project through the full development cycle. Programming tasks largely included design and development of custom CMSs, and integrating third party solutions for features such as streaming video and calculating package shipping rates.

Realty Website Source provided website solutions to Real Estate Brokers and Agents. I designed and developed a custom CMS that can be tailored for different application domains. The system enables website owners to change text or images within a pre-designed template, and perform on-site SEO. It was built using AJAX and PHP, and does not require a page reload to either save or display the results.I also created applications specifically for Realtors, including a Realtor Branch Page creation module and an IDX solution. The Branch Page creation module allows Real Estate brokers to dynamically add, remove, or edit website pages containing information about their individual agents. The IDX solution involved designing and developing a database system to maintain San Diego MLS property data. It supports simple and flexible data searches and presentation on the website front end.

Ed Loan Funding, Inc. was a student loan consolidation company. My responsibilities included enhancing and maintaining the internal MySQL database system (including the custom web interface built using PHP), and producing marketing and customer service reports. I also designed and implemented a system to increase the security of borrower social security numbers stored in our database, using an object oriented approach to smooth the transition between encrypted and unencrypted data.

At Einstein Industries, I designed and built a calendar system for Einstein's proprietary webmail application (similar to Yahoo Mail's calendar, with reminders, events, and task lists). Created a web crawler, designed to search through all domains hosted by Einstein and generate broken link reports. Upgraded the webmail system to allow editing and sending RTF messages. Designed and implemented in house database applications to monitor flight information and compensation for employees travelling to trade shows, as well as parsing and organizing monthly credit card statements.
