Evan Schnabel has been managing, designing and developing web based IT and ecommerce systems since 1994. His career started in the technology consulting business during the rise of the internet in the mid 1990s. In his capacity as a Sr. Technology Consultant, Evan worked on engagements largely focussed on the retail, entertainment and automotive industries. During this time, he designed and built many web based solutions utilizing a wide breadth of technologies within teams of one to twenty in size. His skills include directing development teams, managing agile software projects from design to implemenation, systems architecture, full stack developement and UX design. Proficient in agile methodologies, C#/ASP/.NET, iOS, Flex/Actionscript, Java/J2EE, and HTML/XML/JavaScript/CSS based solutions. In addition to his technoloy career, Evan is a board member of Brentwood Presbyterian Church Preschool and a volunteer tech consultant for The Colleagues and for Turning Point School. Evan has taught web development and design courses at the University of Southern California and at the University of California Los Angeles' Extension. He has been a technology advisor for several startups and organizations including Newsle (sold to LinkedIn), RedStaple, University of Southern California Roski School of Fine Art and Frank Gehry Technologies (sold to Autodesk). He has spoken at conferences on web technologies, content management systems and the role of the designer in organizations. Evan was also spent 10 years touring and recording as a drummer in the band Devics (iTunes).
