Evan Schumacher is a seasoned executive who has been a technology entrepreneur and executive since 1998. Evan is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Echo Global Logistics. Prior to that he was a four time CEO of venture backed companies living at the intersection of consumer and enterprise world with a special place in his heart for the transportation and logistics industry. Evan has been the Chief Commercial Officer at Echo Global Logistics since October 2013. Echo acquired Open Mile, where Evan was a CEO, in March 2013. Open Mile was disrupting the $60 billion truckload freight brokerage space. Open Mile was sold to Echo Global Logistics in March 2013Prior to Open Mile Evan was CEO of Going.com. A million member online community for finding "who's going where" in your city. Going was sold to AOL in 2009. Evan was also CEO of Everypoint, a platform for delivering real-time mobile applications long before the iphone and our current app crazy world.Evan’s first startup experience was as CEO of Celarix, the first managed service for the logistics industry providing the industry's first supply chain visibility solution for dozens of Fortune 500 customers. Celarix was sold to Global Exchange Services in 2003. Before his entrepreneur career, Evan held logistics positions at LA Gear, Stride Rite and KPMG. He holds a B.A. from Northeastern University, and an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management.
